Kathie Lee Gifford was the co-host of the fourth hour on TODAY along with Hoda Kotb, from 2008 to April 5, 2019. Entertainment Weekly had hailed the Gifford/Kotb hour as "appointment" television as well as USA Today referred to TODAY's "happy hour" in an article. Gifford composed TODAY the Musical, a highly acclaimed musical that featured hosts and staff of the program. Each month Gifford would write a new track to be included in the well-loved Everyone Has a Story segment. She was inducted into Broadcast & Cable Hall of Fame in 2015.
