Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou, the oldest of four children, was born on August 8, 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de-Domme. Her parents were dentists and a teacher recognised and supported her love of theatre and drama as early as she was a child. This overcame her initial ambition to become a primatologist due to her passion for monkeys. The rise of her as a young actress was quick and marked by her early successes. In 1998, after completing her degree she was invited to be a part of Jeunes Premiers which is a French television talent-scouting program that was which was run by Canal+. There she was awarded the prize for the Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. It was this that led her to pursue a acting profession. Tautou was a student at in the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris when she was a kid and enrolled in the school at an early age but has sworn off her Catholic upbringing. The actress says she is not a Catholic. Modeling and acting are interspersed. Her image was the mainstay for L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and is often referred to as The Chanel Muse. An avid photographer, she created a show during the Arles International Festival that was titled Superficial. Her photographs concentrates on fame and the spotlight. The camera is turned on journalists who examined her during her rise to fame in Amelie. Audrey Tautou's international success and fame soared after her appearance in the film as Amelie Poulain's leading woman in Le Fabuleux in the film d'Amelie. Amelie was a film box office successes and received acclaim at awards galas across the world. The film is still the top-grossing French language film to date in the US. After the release of this film, Tautou starred in many films that ranged from British dramas up to Jean Pierre Jeunet's film Un long dimanche de fiancailles. After that, she shifted to Hollywood and appeared alongside Tom Hanks alongside Ron Howard in The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.
